Hi, my name is Brenda Strack.
I have a diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling with a Specialization in Professional Counselling from Kelowna College of Professional Counselling.
Other relevant credentials include:
- Diploma in Developmental Services: Loyalist College
- Certificate in Applied Medication: Loyalist College
- Certificate in Autism and Behaviour Sciences:Mohawk College
- Certificate in Personal Support: Algonquin College
With my background, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse population which included children, youth, individuals with disabilities and the elderly.
In doing so, one of the main things that I observed was the fact that each and every individual struggled in specific areas in their lives. Although every case was unique, there were many notable similarities.
They were all hindered in some aspect and as a result, were unable to reach their full potential without the support and encouragement of someone who cared.
I am a genuine, honest and caring individual with an ability to see the good in everyone.
I have an outgoing personality and have been known on occasion to incorporate humour into conversations, should an appropriate moment present itself.
My ambition has always been to be a support system for those who have lost the ability to dream or look ahead to a bright future, to encourage those who are unable to move forward and to listen without judgement to those who are feeling alone and discouraged.
My guarantee is to provide an environment of caring, safety and confidentiality, one in which YOU are the expert in how you want to proceed and what you wish to accomplish.
My job is to motivate, educate and assist you in developing strategies on how to move forward successfully!!
WHAT YOU CARE ABOUT IS WHAT I CARE ABOUT!!
If I can’t help, I will refer you to someone who can!
